Do you have an ugly dog? Maybe even ugliest in the world? Registrations for this year’s edition of Wold’s ugliest dog contest are now open.
In addition to the coveted title of “World’s Ugliest Dog”, the winner also receives $1,500. Other prizes are the “Spirit award” which is shared between dogs and owners who have overcome adversity or contribute to society. There is also a people’s choice that is voted on online.
The competition, which since the 1970s has praised aesthetically challenged dogs, will be decided on June 23.
Last year, the competition was won by the crooked Chinese naked dog Mr Happy Face, whose spreading mane and ever-hanging tongue charmed the jury.
