Jeff Walz, 67, is the brother of the Democratic vice presidential candidate.

Now he is warning his relative – and is thinking of appearing on stage with Donald Trump.

– He is not the right person to make decisions about your future, he says of little brother Tim Walz.

He has donated money to Donald Trump’s election campaign.

And was furious when the former president was indicted in the scandal where porn star Stormy Daniels was paid not to go public with information about their alleged affair.

Jeff Walz, 67, has made no secret of his political views in social media posts.

Not talking to each other

“We have just become a banana republic in the third world,” he wrote after the indictment of Trump.

Meanwhile, his brother Tim Walz, 60, — governor of Minnesota — is one of the fastest rising stars in the Democratic Party.

He was nominated a few weeks ago by Kamala Harris to be her vice presidential candidate.

The brothers haven’t spoken to each other in eight years, writes the New York Post.

It is unknown what is behind the deep rift between them.

Thinking about meeting with Trump

“I am one hundred percent opposed to his ideology,” older brother Jeff wrote in a post on Facebook on Friday.

“Help STOMACH. Get on stage with President Trump and show your support. Help save this country,” one person commented on one of Jeff Walz’s posts.

He doesn’t seem completely averse to the proposal – and aimed another hard boot at his more liberal little brother, according to screenshots published by the New York Post.

“I’ve thought a lot about doing something like that! I’m torn between that and keeping my family out. The stories I could tell. Not the right person to make decisions about your future,” writes Jeff Walz in a response.

For the Republicans, the now 67-year-old has become a welcome bat against Harris and Walz.

Republicans happy about the row

Relatives of political leaders who tell inconvenient “truths” have previously received a lot of attention in the American media.

Among other things, Mary Trump, niece of Donald Trump, has warned about her uncle, on television and in books since the last election campaign in 2020.

Recently, basically every relative of Robert Kennedy Jr. came out and condemned both his election campaign and support for Trump.

Now Trump’s allies believe that Walz should be taken with the same seriousness.

“If the mainstream media has no problem amplifying the voices of Mary Trump and RKJ’s family when they speak out against Republicans, the American people deserve to hear more from the brother of Tim Walz,” said Lauren Boubert, a member of the House of Representatives. to the New York Post.

The newspaper states that the Democrats do not want to comment on the brother’s statements.
