(Finance) – The strategic control of the network remains an objective of the government. That’s what the said Economy Minister, Giancarlo Giorgetti, on the sidelines of the Aspen Italia France forum. Giorgetti, who was asked whether the objective of a national grid under public control still remains for the government, said that “strategic control of the grid is not only a declared objective but one that we will try to implement”.
The government – underlined Giorgetti – is waiting to see i details of Kkr’s offer for the Tim network and then he will evaluate. “We have to see – said the Economy Minister – the Kkr proposal, what they are saying to Tim. Then the government, which is partly a shareholder and partly has other powers, will evaluate when it has full understanding of the proposal”.
