The 22-year-old had the procedure two weeks ago and is now rehabbing, which is going according to plan.
– It was optimal to do it now when there is a long time left until the indoor season and even longer until the summer, which is the highlight with the EC and Olympics, Johansson tells SVT Sport.
Despite being only 22 years young, this is the second time she has had the same knee operated on. It is a minor procedure, a peephole operation. She does it to be able to jump without pain.
“A childhood dream to participate in the Olympics”

The Olympic qualifying limit is set at 6.86 but the International Association of Athletics Federations has set limits so that about half of the Olympic participants qualify through the qualifying limit and half through a special Olympic ranking. In addition, the Swedish Olympic Committee, SOK, has its own requirement that you must compete for a top 12 place.
– It would be a childhood dream to participate in the Olympics and perform, but the EC is also one of the main goals. It is tough to reach the Olympics but there are opportunities even if it is a tough qualification limit. After all, SOK has its requirements, thinks Johansson, whose personal record is 6.73 from 2019.
