In a press release, TV4’s program director commented Viveka Hansson the new venture.
– “Efter fem söndag” will have the same lively spirit as After fem on weekdays, but will be even more focused on Swedish news from the past week and local stories from different corners of the country. The Swedesvepet is one of the most popular segments during the weekdays, and we have taken note of that and developed it, said Hansson at the time, among other things, something that Today’s Media then reported on.

In an interview with Aftonbladet, Tilde de Paula Eby points a boot at TV4. There is a special reason why she is looking forward to leading the new TV4 venture.
– It feels really good because TV4 is bad at local journalism and you must not forget that the majority of Sweden’s population does not live in Stockholm, says Tilde de Paula Eby to The evening paper.
