Duets were the theme of the evening and artists such as Uno Svenningsson, Linnea Henriksson and Orup had been invited to join the “Idol” contestants on stage.
It also meant more singing in Swedish than the Friday finals usually offer.
Simon Näslund got the former “Idol” participant Caspar Camitz as a singing partner. They performed Camitz’s song “High up above” and received a standing ovation from both audience and jury.
– Magical interplay, you took it to another level, the jury said, among other things.
Also Louisa Hoxha, as the lake “Kärleksvisan” together with Sarah Dawn Finer, made the jury stand up and wipe the tears. Saga Ludvigsson’s cocky stage language in the duet with Orup was also praised.
Also this Friday, two participants had to leave the program. When the viewers’ votes were counted, Cimberly Wanyonyi, Jordan Rawling, Tilda Vodusek and Antranik Khantarashian were hanging loose, and for the latter two, the “Idol” journey came to an end.
– I am proud, said an emotional Tilda immediately afterwards.
– This has not been my week. I am proud of what I have done. You compete against yourself more than you compete against anyone else, Antranik said.
