A 28-year-old man is facing an impaired driving charge after being involved in a single motor vehicle crash early Sunday morning that sent him to hospital.
Chatham-Kent police report emergency crews responded to the crash around 1:30 am on Coutts Line in Tilbury.
Police said the driver was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.
Through investigation, police believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Breath tests were given and the man was charged with having a blood-alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit, police said.
He was released with a Jan. 9, 2023 short date.
Uttering threats
A 27-year-old Chatham man is accused of uttering threats during an incident early last week.
Police said officers responded to a domestic related incident on Tuesday at a Chatham residence.
On Saturday, the accused was arrested and charged with uttering threats. He was released with a Jan. 9, 2023 short date, police said.
Chatham man charged with theft
Chatham-Kent police caught up to a 33-year-old Chatham man accused of stealing from a business.
Police responded to a theft complaint at the Chatham business Saturday night.
The suspect fled the area in a vehicle, but was located a short time later and arrested for theft and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000, police said.
The property was recovered and the accused was released with a Jan. 16, 2023 short date, police said.
