    Through this legal summons, the Algos Victima collective – set up at the initiative of Laure Boutron-Marmion, the lawyer for one of the families – therefore wishes “fight for the recognition of the legal responsibility of digital platforms in cases of harm inflicted on minor users.”

    Concretely, the families hope that justice will finally condemn the Chinese social network for having allowed violent and addictive content to circulate on its platform (for example, “tutorial” videos for scarifying yourself at home).

    They also want the social network to better regulate videos, so that minors are no longer bombarded, when they are unwell, with content that could advocate suicide.“, specifies France info.

    A French ultimatum
