TikTok is launching a native, redesigned app on Apple Vision Pro, the company announced Thursday. Vision Pro was launched on February 2 and already has more than 1,000 apps designed specifically for the new device, with the most popular social platforms now being one of them. While you can watch TikTok videos through your browser on the Vision Pro, the new native app allows for a more immersive viewing experience.
TikTok gets official support on Apple Vision Pro
In the TikTok Vision Pro app, the navigation bar and like button are moved off-screen to allow viewing of the entire video, while the comments section and creator profiles appear as expansions on the side of the post.
When you click on the comments section in the mobile application, they appear at the top of the video, and when you click on someone’s profile, you are directed to the full page. But with Vision Pro you can see all of these at the same time. TikTok says Vision Pro enables a much more immersive content experience because it gets rid of screen size and spatial boundaries. As a result, you can watch a video while scrolling through comments without interrupting your view, unlike the mobile app.
