In June, it became known that Tiktok removed 13 anonymous accounts that were controlled by the Sweden Democrats’ communications department.
Now the company announces i a report that a total of 35 accounts have been removed that they consider “reinforce narratives that favor the Sweden Democrats’ party and its agenda” – that is, 22 more than those that TV4 linked to the Sweden Democrats, writes Emanuel Karlsten.
Tiktok also writes that some of the closed accounts pretended to be Swedish authorities.
Linked to Cold Facts Disclosure
Earlier this year revealed TV4’s Cold facts that the Sweden Democrats’ communications department created so-called troll accounts – anonymous accounts in social media that are supposed to benefit the party without stating that it is the Sweden Democrats who are behind it.
After the disclosure, the Sweden Democrats announced that the party would not start any more anonymous accounts in social media.
SD: “Has nothing to do with us”
The Sweden Democrats write in a comment to SVT that the party has nothing to do with the Tiktok accounts being shut down.
“This has nothing to do with us. We have no anonymous accounts today. Exactly how we will work on social media in the future remains to be seen, but it is not unreasonable that we draw inspiration from the Social Democrats in that regard.”
