The Court of Appeal sharpens the punishment for a man in his 50s, who is convicted of various sexual crimes against a total of 31 young girls, writes Gefle Dagblad and Arbetarbladet.
In Gävle District Court, the man was sentenced to five and a half years in prison, but the Court of Appeal considers instead that the punishment should be six years in prison.
The man is convicted of, among other things, 17 cases of attempted exploitation of children through the purchase of a sexual act, 24 cases of sexual harassment and a rape of a child. The contact with the girls has in many cases been made by the man via an app. He himself has denied the crime and said that someone else must have had access to his account.
