Top technology is an integral part of the Tomorrow’s Golf League, whose matches are played in an indoor arena.

Tomorrow’s Golf League (TG), which is based on simulator playing, is behind Woods and a Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy.
In TGL matches, the ball is hit in the indoor arena instead of the usual outdoor greens. The stage is the SoFi Center built for the new league in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA.
The size of the technology-equipped competition area is approximately 89×46 meters. The field has a large screen towards which players hit all shots longer than 46 meters. Shorter shots are played on virtual greens in the Green Zone area, where the shape of the area is changed differently for each hole.
The arena can accommodate 1,500 spectators.
Team competition
Teams compete in TGL. In the opening season, there are six teams of four.
In the first match, The Bay Golf Club (Ludvig Aberg, Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry and Min Woo Lee) and The New York Golf Club (Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, Cameron Young and Matt Fitzpatrick). Each game has three players from both teams.
At the beginning of the event, the players were introduced to the audience one by one, and they entered the field as the crowd cheered and the music blared.
The new environment impressed the players.
– It was incredible. I’ve always said that I’m so jealous of basketball players and football players because they get to do this kind of thing a lot and we don’t. It’s amazing to be a part of this stadium-like atmosphere. It feels a little different than a regular golf tournament, praised Swedish Ludvig Åberg.
Wyndham Clark was also excited.
– This was the most fun we’ve ever had playing golf, Clark said, hoping the joy of the players would be reflected in the crowd.
The Bay Golf Club, represented by Åberg and Wynham, won 9–2.
The league’s founders are also involved in the competition. Woods represents Jupiter Links Golf Club and McIlroy stars at Boston Common Golf.
There are also teams from Atlanta and Los Angeles.
In the regular season, the teams meet each other once. The best four advance to the semi-finals, where there are two spots for the final series in March. The championship will be decided by the best-of-three system.
