The disease TBE, tick-borne encephalitis, can be transmitted to humans via unpasteurized dairy products from animals that are or have been infected with TBE.
Professor Ann Albihn, at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, tells TT that in a research project, TBE infection was found in unpasteurized, Swedish milk from cows, sheep and goats.
