thus the bombs destroyed the cities of Ukraine and Mariupol

The war has been going on for more than a month, and some Ukrainian cities would not be recognized as before.

The huge apartment buildings in the suburbs, the shopping streets of the centers and the historic buildings have been set on fire. Infrastructure that has served millions of people, such as roads, waterways and electricity networks, has become unusable. Cafes and shopping malls have quieted down.

In this story, we show how the war has changed the Ukrainian cities that Russia has targeted the most bombings and missiles.

The worst affected is the port and industrial city of Mariupol, in the south-eastern Asovan Sea in south-eastern Ukraine. Russia began firing it immediately on the first day of the attack and will continue to do so.

The city of Mariupol is besieged by Russian troops and its inhabitants have had no electricity, gas, food or clean water for weeks. Russia has also blocked the delivery of humanitarian aid to the city.

In any case, there are so many bodies that not everyone could be buried.

Russia has shown that it does not care about the rules of warfare.

From the very beginning, Russian airstrikes focused on military targets and administrative buildings, but very soon it began to target more and more missile and bomb attacks on civilian buildings.

In Mariupol, one of the attacks occurred on March 9 and targeted a pediatric and maternity clinic. The hospital complex was recently renovated and its equipment modernized.

In addition to Mariupol, several other cities have been badly destroyed in the airstrikes.

Although Russian troops have not yet progressed to Kiev, Russia was firing missiles at the capital in the early days of the attack.

Russian airstrikes have also wreaked havoc in Kharkov, Ukraine’s second largest city.

Although the Russian invasion seems to have stopped for the time being, the war is not over yet. Only rough estimates can be made of its human and material costs.

Reconstruction takes years anyway, and the lives of millions have changed forever.
