During Tuesday, the health and medical care board decided to open a heart and vascular center in Södertälje. The parties that voted yes to the proposal are the Moderates, the Christian Democrats, the Sweden Democrats, the Liberals and the Left Party. This after the Moderates and the Social Democrats promised in an election promise last year to open the special reception again.
– S, C and MP announced their support for our proposal and will approve it at the regional board. Both I and the residents of Södertälje welcome that, says Charlotte Broberg (M), group leader in the health and medical care board.
In 2018, the heart and vascular center in Södertälje stopped providing special care. They were allowed to carry out investigations but no assessments. This after an agreement with the county council expired. In total, three out of six clinics were closed. The decision upset many, something that SVT reported on earlier.
