Good-humoured I drive with my family on the Catharijnesingel on Sunday afternoon. Zigzagging through a group of exuberant, young, still fresh students, I make my way past a row of high iron gates that block the view of the canal on the way to our dim sum restaurant. I see lifeguards dressed in Holland Orange colored life jackets looking around tensely. What is going on here?.
