In Throne and Liberty, a giant whale passes over the players’ heads at set times. This is the Gigantrite and it always starts its flight at 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00 and 23:00. Depending on the starting point, which you can see on the map, it has three different routes.

Get to Saurodoma with the Gigantrite
The whale in Throne and Liberty starts its flight every three hours. He always starts his flight at a different time
But he never stops to pick up passengers. You have to get a place on his back. If he starts his route at the top left of the map, the best point to jump up is on the ruins near the “Reinlicht Tower”.
However, if the whale starts moving from the bottom left of the map, you can only climb near “Burg Felswacht”. But all roads lead to Rome – or in this case to “Saurodoma”. However, you have to be careful that you jump off the whale’s back at the right moment, otherwise you will land wrong and will no longer be able to reach the island.
The waypoint of “Saurodoma” is located on a small platform in the air that can only be reached from the whale. If you float directly to the island, you will have arrived at your destination, but you will no longer be able to activate the waypoint. It’s best to jump off the whale when you’re parallel to the platform.
This is how you solve “Little Friend in Heaven”
In order to complete the side mission “Little Friend in the Sky”, which you can find in the “Codex” under “Nesting Grounds”, on the Gigantrite, you must have previously completed the quest “Meeting a Friend in the Field”. You can see these in the “Codex” under “Urstella Fields”.
In the fourth part of the mission “Little Friend in Heaven” you should talk to the Amitoi on the back of the Gigantrite. For some players it doesn’t always appear straight away, so you have to walk to the Amitois’ location several times until it appears to you. Here you will find it:
Gigantrite ores
While you enjoy the excursion and the fresh air on your trip, you can also mine the ores on his back. There are six sources of “Marinder Ore” and they respawn every five minutes after mining. The ores can be used to craft materials for leveling passive and active skills.
The Colossus also drops “Crystals of the Divine Beast” on its journey. These can be mined on the ground, from which you get “life stones”. These stones can then be used on the whale to extract rare “marine ore” from gray rocks.
Gigantrite: First route
The majestic creature’s first route starts at the top left of the map. During this flight you first have the chance to climb at the “Pure Light Tower”, then at the “Ruins of the Starlight Observatory” and finally near the “Sandworm Cave”. We have the complete route for you:
Gigantrite: Second route
The second route of the Gigantrite also starts at the top left of the map, but a little further down near the town of “Kastleton”. During the journey you first have the chance to climb at the “Ruins of the Starlight Observatory” and then at “Burg Felswacht”. We have the complete route for you:

The third route of the colossus begins at the bottom left of the map at “Burg Felswacht”. This ride only offers one chance to climb, directly after the start at “Burg Felswacht”, as the flight is only very short. We have the complete route for you:
