Shortly before the launch of Throne and Liberty, those responsible at Amazon Games reveal when the various events and endgame content of the MMORPG will be activated and what update frequency players can expect.

What does the first roadmap for Throne and Liberty reveal? After outsourcing the daily and weekly schedules for events and activities, Amazon Games’ newly released roadmap focuses on

  • Update rhythm
  • Plans for Class 2 equipment and associated progression systems
  • Activation of content in the months of October and November
  • a first look at December

    Content updates – what’s planned?

    What should the update frequency look like?

  • Every month an update should bring several innovations and adjustments to the servers. This also includes seasonal/holiday-related content.
  • Approximately every three to four months you can expect a major update that shifts the meta or introduces new main systems.
  • The first major update is planned for December.

    • In South Korea, essential innovations such as Tier 2 equipment, the rune system and trait resonance (along with substance conversion) came into play months after launch. The plan for the western version is:

  • Tier 2 gear will not be introduced with the release of 2-star dungeons, as was the case in Korea.
  • The Rune System and Trait Resonance will not be released at the same time.

    • In an interview, Globalization Design Manager Daniel Lafuente also indicated that adjustments to the rune system and property resonance would be considered.

    That’s coming in October 2024

    What is the milestone system? The Milestones system allows you to interact with new content on a known schedule after completing certain server-wide objectives. However, based on the experience with the South Korean version, Amazon Games is adjusting the activation of the content so that you have enough time to level and equip your character.

    What’s planned for October?

  • With the Halloween event, Throne and Liberty will receive the first content shortly after launch, which will appear simultaneously in all versions of the MMORPG.
  • Battle for Blessing Stones and Discord Stones: As October progresses, more stones will become available for guilds to challenge each other.
  • Several new field bosses will debut in October.
  • The first two archbosses, Queen Bellandir and Tevent, land on the live servers at the end of October.

    That’s coming in November 2024

    When does the first castle siege start? The first battle for Felswacht Castle is scheduled to begin in mid-November. The official announcement states (via playthroneandliberty.com):

    The current ruling guild will close its gates, strengthen its defenses, and fight relentlessly to stop anyone brave or foolish enough to take control. You also have to compete with several other guilds fighting for the throne.

    Dodge the hail of arrows, spells, and more as you lay siege to the castle in a variety of ways depending on your play style. No matter what strategy you choose, all tactics lead to the throne. At the end of the 45-minute match, there can only be one Rockwatch Castle Champion.

    In addition, the tax transport event linked to the castle will take place for the first time in November:

    “Deliver the accumulated taxes from the estate to the castle and survive enemy guilds trying to steal your wealth. The guild that owns the castle selects a player to transform into a tax transport golem that travels from Vienta to Rockwatch Castle. The Castle Alliance must defend the Golem against the rest of the server.”

    What else do I need to know about Throne and Liberty? Throne and Liberty will be released on October 1st, 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5. There will be crossplay between platforms. The MMORPG would like to finance itself through the in-game shop, battle pass, real money currencies and the sale of early access packages (starting on September 26, 2024).
