Throne and Liberty: Weapon Mastery
What is Weapon Mastery? Weapon Mastery is a hidden skill that allows you to unlock additional passive effects for your weapons. Each weapon has three paths that you can level up. Each path offers nine passive effects with different buffs, such as more health, increased healing or additional damage.
Weapon mastery currently has a maximum level of 16, so you can’t level all paths to the same level. Accordingly, you have to decide which path you want to complete and which you just want to start. However, depending on the class and playstyle, this is very variable and different for every build.
To get to the weapon mastery overview, you must note the following:
Level up weapon mastery
In the weapon mastery menu you can see how many mastery points are currently available for distribution at the top right of the screen. These points can be used to level up the individual effects.
There are several ways to earn weapon mastery points in Throne and Liberty. We will introduce you to all the methods and explain what you need to consider.
Open world dungeons
Open-world dungeons are an effective way to earn weapon mastery points. Equip the two weapons you want to level up and fight the monsters that are in the dungeon. Not only will you earn many useful items, but you will also level up your mastery.
At night, however, the open-world dungeons turn into PvP zones, so pay attention to the current time of day if you don’t want to be eliminated by other players. You can recognize conflict zones by two small, crossed red swords on the dungeon symbol on the map. You can also see what time of day it is in the game on the map at the bottom right.
Danger: The active weapon receives twice as many points as your passive weapon. So keep an eye on which weapon you have in the first slot.
In addition, you only gain items and points if you have Abyssal Contract Tokens. If these are empty, you will not receive any rewards or experience points.
Daily tasks
In the daily missions that you can accept from “contract managers” in almost every city, you will receive, among other things, training rope as a reward. After completing the missions, the loot will be transferred to your inventory, including the training rope. If you use this, your mastery of the currently equipped weapon increases.
If you do not have a weapon equipped or have reached the maximum weapon mastery level (which is currently level 16) for this weapon, you cannot use the training rope.
Danger: The training rope only lasts 24 hours in your bag and then disappears. It’s best to always use it immediately after receiving it.
Co-op dungeons
Even in co-op dungeons, you will receive training ropes after successfully completing them if you open the boss chest. In order to open these, however, you have to spend dimension contract tokens. If you don’t have any left, you have no chance of getting the contents of the chest.
A notice: It is currently recommended to use the random co-op dungeon search, as you get an extra reward when you open the boss chest. However, you can only take one friend with you in the random search.
Reset weapon mastery
You can reset weapon mastery at any time if you prefer to level up a different path. To do this, move over the last passive of the respective mastery path, then a small arrow will appear. If you click on it, you will then be asked whether you want to deactivate the selected effect. However, this will cost you a lot of money.
If you want to undo an entire path, you have to deactivate every single passive and pay Sollant each time. So it is possible at any time, but it will cost you a large sum of money. Therefore, it is better to think beforehand about which effects you need and which path you want to improve accordingly.
