The first of the Israeli hostages to be released are three young women: Doron Steinbrecher, Romi Gonen and Emily Damari.
Approximately two hours after the scheduled time for the ceasefire to start, Hamas finally released the names of the three women to be released on Sunday.
31-year-old Doron Steinbrecher worked as a veterinary nurse and was captured in her apartment at Kibbutz Kfar Aza. 28-year-old Emily Damari, who is British-Israeli, was taken hostage from the same kibbutz. The hostage, who was released last November, has said they had contact with her in captivity.
24-year-old Romi Gonen was assaulted as she tried to leave the Supernova festival.
At the same time, the Israeli government’s press office has released a list of 30 more hostages who are supposed to be released during the first phase of the ceasefire. Next to it is the sentence “We long for you to come home”.
Among them is, for example, the Bibas family – with the only children to remain in Gaza. The mother, Shiri Bibas, and the father, Yarden Bibas, were taken with their young children: Kfir, who was nine months old at the time of the abduction, and Ariel, who was then 4 years old.
