The three were attacked just before three o’clock on Saturday night, on a park street in the city center. Another three young men were injured and taken to hospital.
According to preliminary information from the police, the origin was a quarrel, where a man got angry at a group of young men for playing loud music, reports The Courier de l’Ouest.
A man in his early 30s was arrested near the crime scene. On Saturday morning, police technicians were still working there, in a large cordoned off area.
The three dead were 16, 18 and 20 years old respectively.
The city of Angers has about 155,000 inhabitants and is located about ten miles east of the slightly larger city of Nantes along the Loire River.
