It was a Friday afternoon in February that the girl’s mother, Tibel Al Chammas, found her daughter peed on and shocked on the extinguished upper floor of the preschool.
– I opened all the doors and looked until I got to the toilet – and there is my daughter standing scared and shaking, she told SVT a week after the incident.
It is estimated that the three-year-old had been left alone for at least half an hour after the staff went downstairs with the rest of the group of children.
Södertälje municipality has investigated the incident and now two employees at the preschool have received written warnings.
“The employer wishes to draw your attention to the fact that repetition of the above may lead to termination of your employment,” the warning reads.
