A three-year-old child died on a migrant bus traveling from Texas to Chicago. The child was treated by paramedics at the scene but died in hospital. The cause of death is unknown.
This is the first time Texas has reported a death on the migrant buses since the state began transporting thousands of migrants from the US-Mexico border last year, according to the AP news agency.
Since last year, Texas has transported more than 30,000 migrants to Democratic-controlled cities across the United States as part of Republican Gov. Greg Abbott’s border policy.
