Three people have been taken to hospital after a traffic accident outside Flen.
The extent of the damage is unclear.
– It’s about two cars that have collided head-on, says Lars-Åke Stevelind, officer on duty at rescue center east.
The accident occurred on national highway 53 between Malmköping and Sparreholm in the municipality of Flen shortly after 07:00.
– According to witnesses, it was an overtaking, says Lars-Åke Stevelind, who states that the emergency services are still on the scene at 08.15.
Three people have been taken to hospital with unclear injuries.

The police are now working to interview witnesses.
“The accident occurred on a stretch where the maximum speed is 80 kilometers per hour,” they write on their website.
The road is completely closed in both directions and traffic is diverted via Flen. The emergency services have set a forecast for 09:00.
