In Bachmut, the fighting has been concentrated in the central parts of the city, including around the railway station. The fighting has been going on for a long time and large parts of the city have been reduced to rubble.
– Battles in built-up areas, i.e. inside a city like Bachmut, are inherently difficult. It is often reckoned that it takes about three times as many soldiers to attack a place and take it as defending, says SVT’s foreign reporter Carl Fridh Kleberg.
