Three teenagers seriously injured by fireworks

Two girls aged 17 and a boy under 15 have suffered hearing and eye damage as a result of the incident.

– According to our assessment, these people have been injured intentionally, when fireworks are fired in their direction, says Marcus Anefur, press spokesperson for the police.

The three injured young people have been taken to hospital. Two by ambulance and one by private car.

Young unknown perpetrators

The incident is classified as aggravated assault.

– We have no suspects at the moment and the people who set off the fireworks are currently unknown to us. We have received information that people must be very young.

The police also want to send an invitation to guardians now during the New Year’s holiday.

– We see many people shooting rockets and fireworks right now. Children and young people should not handle this type of object. There is a reason why there is an 18-year limit, says Marcus Anefur.
