On Thursday, before 3:30 pm, the suspects, carrying what appeared to be firearms and an edged weapon, entered the Bank of Montreal branch on Beverly Street West, police said. They assaulted an employee, who was treated for minor injuries at hospital.
Police said an unknown amount of Canadian and American currency was stolen.
The suspects fled in a black midsized Subaru sport utility vehicle, which was later recovered less than a kilometer away on King William Street, near Victor Boulevard.
Police are asking residents or anyone near the bank between 3 pm and 4 pm to check their dash cams or security cameras for footage of any suspicious activity.
