Utrecht – An important step in the court case against three Romanian men suspected of human trafficking, human smuggling, money laundering and participation in a criminal organization. According to the Public Prosecution Service (OM), the suspects are involved in illegal prostitution in Utrecht, in which women had to give up more than half of their income. Years of imprisonment have been demanded and the court has now partially ruled. The men have been acquitted of participation in a criminal organization. The court will rule later on the suspicion of human trafficking and human smuggling.
