Three questions about the electricity price increase in southern Sweden – then electricity can be the most expensive

Cold, almost no wind and a temporary stoppage of production at Ringhals 4 – the conditions for the electricity price could have been better.

– The electricity was definitely needed to dampen prices, says Johan Sigvardsson, electricity price analyst at Bixia about the production stop at Ringhals 4.

The price levels for area 4, which belongs to southern Sweden, were around SEK 1.90 per kilowatt hour on Thursday.

During Monday morning, it is estimated to rise to three kroner to land somewhere around just over kroner 2 during the day.

In the clip above, Bixia’s electricity price analyst Johan Sigvardsson answers three questions about the electricity price.
