Spain’s King Felipe and Queen Letizia were met by furious residents when they visited flood-hit areas in the Valencia region on Sunday, writes VG.
Among other things, they allegedly threw mud at the royal couple, who eventually had to retreat.
The authorities’ handling of the floods has been heavily criticized in Spain for not giving enough advance warning.
Over 200 people have died in the floods.
The police have seized 32 rifles that were found at Hvidtfeldtska gymnasium in Gothenburg.
The rifles had been forgotten in a storage space in the basement, writes GP.
These are ball guns of the brands Carl Gustaf and Husqvarna. In the 1950s and 60s, marksmanship training was on the schedule.
14 children have died after a lightning strike in Uganda, the BBC reports. Over 30 people were injured.
The accident happened when the victims were attending a church service on Saturday night.
The incident took place at the Palabek refugee facility, which is home to more than 80,000 refugees and asylum seekers, according to the UN refugee agency. Many come from neighboring South Sudan.

Israel’s military issues new evacuation orders for residents of the Baalbek area in eastern Lebanon on Sunday. The military says it is ready to attack Hezbollah targets in the Baalbek region.
“You are currently in close proximity to facilities and assets associated with Hezbollah, which Israel’s military will target in the near future,” Israeli military Arabic-speaking spokesman Avichay Adraee wrote in a post on X.
The latest evacuation call comes at the same time as dozens of projectiles were fired from Lebanon towards Israeli territory on Sunday morning.
A property owner, whose property is outside Norrtälje, observes smoke in his camera alarm, the police write on their website.
Police and emergency services are on their way to the scene.
According to the rescue service, eight dogs, one of which is pregnant, should be in the property.
– The owner had left food on the stove, but it didn’t burn. We have ventilated and the dogs are doing well, says Adam Johnsson, management operator at the rescue service.
On Sunday, the police arrested a 45-year-old man suspected of rape in Piteå.
The plaintiff is a woman and the crime is said to have taken place indoors. According to the police’s website, the people must have known each other from before.
After questioning, prosecutors have decided to arrest the man and an investigation is underway.
A woman in her 90s has died after a fire in an apartment building in Skövde.
Firefighters smoke divers found the woman lifeless in the apartment that was on fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown and the apartment is cordoned off for a technical examination.
The police have started a preliminary investigation into public negligence.
Relatives have been notified.

Spain’s meteorological institute Aemet has issued new warnings for heavy rain on the coasts of the southeast. A red warning, the highest level, applies on Sunday in the province of Almería in western Andalusia.
The risk of downpours and possible flooding in almost the entire province is extreme, according to Aemet, which advises people not to venture out unless absolutely necessary.
Several orange warnings, which mean significant risks, also apply to the already hard-hit Valencia region.
The Spanish royal couple will visit Paiporta and Chiva on Sunday, two cities where the devastation after the floods in the Valencia region is greatest, reports El Mundo.
On Sunday morning, a woman in Färgelanda was woken up by an explosion outside her home, the police say.
Now the national bomb protection has been called to the scene to investigate what detonated. According to the police, it is some kind of fireworks display.
The incident is being investigated as a serious illegal threat and a serious breach of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
The alarm reached the police at 06:08.
Spanish media reports that Spain’s King Felipe is visiting the disaster area in Valencia on Sunday.
Over 200 people have so far been reported dead in the floods, and thousands are missing.
American weather service NWS Norman warned in the morning Swedish time of “severe tornadoes” in Oklahoma and Texas.
At least one person has died in the storm, according to local rescue organization United Cajun Navy.
The University of Oklahoma previously warned on X that a tornado is headed for their campus.
“Take cover NOW in the building you are in. Get to the lowest floor”.
The Oklahoman reports that several residential areas are severely damaged by tornadoes and that the storm warning remains in place throughout Sunday local time.
In addition to tornadoes, there are warnings of gale force winds with villages that could approach hurricane strength.

Residents of Moldova go to the polls for the second time in the presidential election on Sunday. The result could be decisive for what the country’s future in the EU looks like.
Two weeks ago, Moldovans voted by a narrow majority for membership in the EU. Parallel to the referendum, a presidential election was held, where pro-European Maia Sandu received the most support with 42 percent.
Since Sandu did not get over 50 percent, however, a second round of elections was required against the pro-Russian candidate Aleksandr Stoianoglo, who received about 26 percent of the vote.
