Provincial police have charged three people with drug trafficking following a Tuesday (March 14) traffic stop at a Concession 5 address in the Port Dover area.
The OPP’s Haldimand Norfolk Community Street Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle at about 8:25 pm and subsequently found quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone as well as Canadian money and weapons, said a media release from Norfolk OPP.
“Our Community Street Crimes Unit has been very effective with proactive illicit drug investigations,” Acting Insp. Jennifer Neamtz, interim detachment commander of the Norfolk OPP, said in a statement. “This is yet another example that highlights how the police and the community continue to work in partnership to resolve crime.”
Provincial police have charged a 41-year-old Norfolk County man with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking – fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine; possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and seven counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Police also charged a 27-year-old Norfolk woman with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking – fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and unauthorized possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
A 29-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking – fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of hydromorphone and possession of cocaine.
