Norfolk OPP have charged three people following separate incidents of intimate partner violence that occurred over the August long-weekend.
Police were sent to a Norfolk County address at about 1:47 am Sunday (Aug. 6) to investigate a report of a disturbance.
Officers arrested and subsequently charged a 32-year-old woman from Norfolk County with assaulting a spouse. She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Aug. 29.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old Norfolk County man faces several charges including one of assault following a Sunday (Aug. 6) disturbance.
Police were sent to a Norfolk County address just before 10 pm Sunday (Aug. 6) to investigate a disturbance. Upon arrival, police took one person into custody without incident.
The accused has also been charged with mischief, criminal harassment and failure to comply with a probation order. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Norfolk OPP officers were also dispatched to investigate yet another disturbance on Sunday (Aug. 6).
Police were sent to a Norfolk County address at about 11:20 pm and upon arrival arrested a 44-year-old Norfolk County woman. She has been charged with assault and is due to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Sept. 5.
