Three passenger cars collided in the snowstorm – several accidents in Uppsala county

SMHI has issued an orange warning for wind in combination with snowfall in Uppsala county, between the morning of March 16 and the morning of March 17.

The snowfall is expected to be most intense Saturday evening and Sunday night, but a number of accidents have already been reported to SOS Alarm.

No one seriously injured

Among other things, three cars have collided on road 600. One person is still in one of the cars, but awake and talking according to the rescue service.

– An ambulance is on site and we have closed the road, says Christer Eriksson, line operator at the rescue service.

Several single accidents have occurred on E18 in Enköping municipality and on road 72, Heby, a truck and a car have driven off the road. According to the emergency services, no one is seriously injured at the moment.

Public transport is also affected

Several buses in the county are affected by the traffic and UL has strengthened preparedness to be able to handle stressful situations.

– So far the traffic is moving along well, but there may be challenges during the evening. You need to monitor our channels if you have to go out, says Stefan Adolfsson at UL’s press service.
