Three more executed in Iran

Iran on Friday executed three men convicted of violence against the country’s security forces during the widespread protests after the death of Mahsa Zhina Amini last year, the judiciary said.

The men were arrested in November and sentenced to death in January for having drawn weapons during a demonstration and for, among other things, a police officer was killed, according to the Iranian justice system website Mizan.

Human rights organizations have reported that the three men who have now been executed were subjected to torture and forced to make televised confessions.
