For the third time this week, a peat company in the Örebro region has been subjected to a climate action.

On Thursday morning, a number of activists entered the company.

– They went up on a conveyor belt that is ten meters up in the air. We had to ask the emergency services for help to get them down safely. They caused damage for very high amounts and therefore they are suspected of both gross damage and gross illegal trespassing, says police press informer Sophia Jigland.

Three people were arrested in the action. They were arrested early in the evening.

On Wednesday, seven people were arrested and detained on suspicion of vandalism and gross illegal trespassing after they entered the company’s premises.

Also on Monday, there was an action at the company in which about 20 people were involved.

A total of ten activists are now under arrest. Notification from prosecutors on whether they should be released or requested to be detained is expected to come during Friday or Saturday.
