The African Union Peace and Security Council met last week. Among the subjects discussed: the situation in Niger, three months after the coup d’état of July 26 which overthrew President Mohamed Bazoum. In its press release published Tuesday, the CPS, which condemns the coups, once again calls for a rapid return to constitutional order in Niger, and the immediate release of the overthrown head of state.
