One person suffered minor injuries in a home invasion in Simcoe on Saturday morning.
Three men gained entry to a home on Highland Avenue in Simcoe at around 3 am, said Norfolk OPP.
The men, who were armed with handguns, awoke the occupants and demanded property.
One occupant was assaulted and suffered minor injuries, said police.
The suspects fled the home on foot.
Police say a white vehicle parked outside the home was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
Norfolk OPP officers, OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team members searched the area but the suspects and vehicle were not located.
“Investigators believe that this is not a random but rather a targeted incident that remains under investigation,” Norfolk OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk said in a media release.
Suspects are described as being Black in their early 20s with slim builds. They were all about 5’5” in height.
One suspect wore roundish black framed glasses.
