The investigation into the case began in April, when the Swedish police found and confiscated 38 firearms and more than 50 kilograms of various narcotics from a garage in Södertälje. according to SVT explosives were also found in the garage, which the gangs are suspected to have used to make bombs.
Based on a police investigation, drugs have also been brought to Finland from the same garage.
The police estimated the value of the confiscated narcotics at around 19 million kroner, i.e. almost two million euros.
According to the Swedish media, it is the largest seized batch of drugs in Sweden’s history.
A 26-year-old Swedish woman was the manager of Foxtrot Rawa “Kurdikettu” Majidin as a drug courier.
The woman was caught in April on the E4 road near Södertälje. According to the police, two kilograms of drugs were found in the woman’s car.
During the interrogation, the woman refused to tell when she was asked about her connections with Rawa Majid. However, the police found messages exchanged with the gang boss on the woman’s phone.
The “Kurdish Fox” was arrested in Iran
SVT reported in October, citing its sources, that the Swedish criminal group leader Majid had been arrested in Iran. The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not commented on the matter.
According to SVT, Majidin was arrested when he crossed the border between Turkey and Iran.
Majid was born in Iraq and grew up in Uppsala. Since 2018, he has been living in exile in Turkey. Majid is believed to lead the Swedish street gang Foxtrot from Turkey.
According to media reports, Majid is also believed to be linked to the shootings that took place in Uppsala in September, the scale of which the Swedish police described as unprecedented.
An international arrest warrant has been in effect for Majid since 2020. In Sweden, Majid has been sentenced in absentia at least three times.
