Stedin is actively working to prevent gas leaks, he says. “We don’t sit in the office waiting for a gas leak.” Instead, they go to contractors who will dig in places with a lot of pipes. “Then we give advice: dig carefully, don’t dig straight into the ground with that excavator, first make test trenches. A gas leak is really dangerous, so try to prevent that.”
Three hundred gas leaks per year, that should be less: but is that actually possible?
