All three passengers on board the plane died in the accident.
A tourist plane crashed on Saturday morning in the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. According to the local police, in addition to the pilot, two passengers died in the accident.
The accident happened a little before half past eleven local time. A moment earlier, the small plane had taken off for a sightseeing flight from the nearby Chaux-d-Fonds airport.
The accident was followed by an extensive rescue operation, as the accident site was located on a hard-to-reach steep mountainside.
The police initially refused to provide more information about the case until the relatives of all the victims have been contacted. The causes of the accident are still being investigated.
