A three-day Holiday Shop Hop runs from Thursday to Saturday with a chance for customers to win prizes.

The idea is a continuation of a collaboration for a “Christmas in July” event held in the summer, release said.

Wanda Bell, from Mrs. Bell’s Tea Room and Treasures, Corrinne Kennedy, owner of Rubies Inc. and Andrea Palmer, owner of Encore Shop, joined with the owners of Pizazz, KM Greetings, Lavender and Honey, and Porchlight to offer a similar, but improved experience.

“The comment we received in July was that it was too much to do in just one day, so this time, folks will have three days to shop, so it won’t seem so much like a race,” said Wanda Bell in the release.

Passports are available at participating businesses for shoppers to collect stamps when visiting the shops during the three-day event, the release said. No purchase is necessary, but stamps from all seven stores must be collected to be eligible for the seven prizes that will be given out.

“Each store is donating a prize, so refer to their social media to discover what could be won,” Bell said.

“We are encouraging folks to start the holiday out by shopping local, and each of us are also offering special events, discounts and/or promotions to make it a great experience.”

The passports, when completed, can be handed in at any of the stores, and the draw will be held live on Rubies’ Facebook on Nov. 18.

“All of the stores are proudly owned and operated by women,” the release said.
