Three charged following Simcoe drug bust

Provincial police have charged three people with drug-trafficking after stopping a vehicle at a Colborne Street North address in Simcoe on Wednesday.

Members of the OPP’s Norfolk/Haldimand street crimes unit, with the help of the uniformed OPP officers, stopped the vehicle at 10:14 pm Nov. 23. They seized a quantity of suspected pick, orange, red and white colored fentanyl as well as suspected cocaine, hydromorphone, cannabis, cash and the vehicle.

A 66-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking (cocaine and fentanyl), a charge of possession of cocaine and possessing cannabis for the purposes of selling.

Provincial police have also charged a 44-year-old Tillsonburg man with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking (fentanyl, cocaine and hydromorphone), possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, and four counts of failing to comply with probation order.

A 24-year-old Haldimand County woman is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, cocaine), possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and fail to comply with probation order.
