  • One of the convicts is a 45-year-old man who lived in the apartment where the drugs were found. He has admitted possession during the trial, but believes that the narcotics were only kept with him and that it is not his amphetamine and that he had no intention of reselling it.

He has also said that the other two men had nothing to do with the drugs.

    – I claim that there are three people who together had this as a business idea. They have bought a larger lot and their idea has been to sell the narcotics in the Umeå area and thus make money, said prosecutor Andreas Nyberg in connection with the men being charged.

Now the men are being sentenced at Umeå District Court for serious drug offences. Two of them, both aged 45, will be jailed for five years and six months. The third man, who is in his 30s, will be jailed for four years and nine months.

The District Court writes, among other things, that “the very large quantity of narcotics shows that it was not for individual use”.
