“The background is probably some kind of failed drug deal,” prosecutor Sara Toreskog told Göteborgs-Posten.
The wheelchair-bound man was found badly injured in October, in a residential area on Hisingen.
– Before the victim fell unconscious, he had time to report to the first police patrol that arrived. He then said that it was about three perpetrators, says Sara Toreskog.
The injured man later died, as a result of blows and kicks he received inside the elevator.
The three accused men are in their 30s. One of them was arrested at the crime scene. All three deny having abused the wheelchair-bound man.
