Meta introduced the Threads app, which Twitter calls its direct competitor. On Threads, users can post text, images, and videos, and like, comment, and reshare other people’s posts.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said after platform launch despite limited availability 10 million in the first 7 hours announced that he had reached the person. It hit 2 million records for the first 2 hours before and 5 million within 4 hours.
Zuckerberg claims that Threads isn’t just intended to be an alternative to Musk’s Twitter. It will soon be compatible with the open protocol ActivityPub, meaning it will be able to interoperate with Mastodon and WordPress, allowing new types of connections among humans that are not possible in current popular social media apps.
Threads, whose number of users is increasing rapidly in our country, looks like it will rival the summit in the future.
