THQ Nordic showed off 14 upcoming games at a digital presentation. The thriller “Alone in the dark” seems to have made the biggest splash, which Skövde-based Pieces Interactive is behind. THQ Nordic bought the rights to the game series in 2018.

A detective must solve puzzles and fight monsters. The first game in the series was released in 1992 and received two sequels in the following two years. The game is described as a reinterpretation of that trilogy.

There is no release date, but the game should be available for testing at Gamescom later in August. The title is coming to PS5, Xbox Series and PC.

In Karlstad, small Mirage Game Studios is working on “Space for sale”, where as an astronaut, you have to buy a solar system and build homes for your extraterrestrial customers. The title is being developed for PC but there is no release date yet.
