It was around 6 o’clock on Sunday morning that several households around Österåker municipality and in the coastal area at Ljusterö lost power.
The power outage is suspected to be weather-related. Electricity operators are working intensively to investigate the problem, but there is still no forecast for when it might be fixed.
“There are overhead power lines in the area and it may be that trees are leaning against the power line. Then a short circuit may occur,” says Björn Persson, EON’s press officer to TV4 Nyheterna.
