With trumpet fanfares, the first visitors were welcomed at 10 o’clock on Saturday morning, and in addition to a tour inside the industry, Hitachi Energy also offered free coffee, ice cream and hot dogs.
The company is a world leader in power technology and energy systems on land and at sea, and because we need more and more electricity, Hitachi Energy must recruit approx. 1,000 people in Sweden this year alone, of which 700 will be in Ludvika.
– It is a huge challenge but at the same time a great fun challenge, says Tobias Hansson, CEO of Hitachi Energy in Sweden and site manager in Ludvika.
One of the many who came to the open house was Elin Hellgren. She works in home care today, but says that she previously applied for a job at the company.
– I have applied a couple of times, but it took a long time to get an answer. Then I couldn’t wait any longer so I looked for something else! says Elin.
But this was in the ABB era. Now there is a very high demand for personnel in the company and a rush to hire, so the personnel department must be fast and efficient if all these recruitments are to be successful.
