Earlier this week there were reports that Tesla had postponed deliveries of the model. Now the American traffic safety authority The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that it is a problem with the gas pedal, reports The Wall Street Journal.

According to the authority, there is a risk of the pedal getting stuck, or hooking, causing the vehicle to accidentally accelerate.
The recall affects a number of vehicles from the 2024 model year, and Tesla will replace or repair the pedals for free, according to NHTSA.
“There have been no injuries or accidents due to this. We are just being very cautious,” Tesla’s CEO stated Elon Musk on X earlier this week.
