Protests have continued across the country since Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24. In St. Petersburg and Moscow, a large number of people participated in the unauthorized protest against Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
REVERSE RESPONSE TO POLIST POLICIES
The crowd gathered on Nevskiy Street in St. Petersburg, unfurled anti-war banners and chanted slogans.
The demonstrators, who also took to the streets in Moscow, called on the Russian administration to stop the war and ensure peace.
The police, who warned that the demonstrations were unauthorized, intervened harshly with the group.
More than 260 people were detained during the demonstrations.
